Northbank
Communications wins competitive pitch for Tecan's global advertising
and PR campaigns
Also commissioned on other projects including Customer Newsletter
and Product Catalogue
After a four
way competitive pitch, Northbank Communications has been awarded
the Tecan advertising account including creative, production and
media buying for Tecan's advertising campaign for the next
two years. This has been followed by winning Tecan's trade
PR account and additional marketing projects.
Peter Colley, Board
Director of Northbank Communications, and director in charge
of the account said: "As a full service
agency this is a great win for our advertising, design and PR teams
and demonstrates how our integrated communications approach allows
us to deliver multi-service International campaigns. Out of the
four companies commissioned to present their advertising ideas
we're thrilled to be selected as Tecan's top choice
and to then be given the opportunity to extend our relationship
across PR and other marketing communications projects."
Sue Charles, Northbank's CEO added, "This is a significant
win for Northbank, both financially and because Tecan is one of
the best known brands in the sector. Tecan is a world-leader in
automated laboratory equipment used in life science research and
diagnostics. They're introducing many exciting new products
this year and wanted an exciting, new global ad campaign to generate
sales leads. Northbank created concepts and copy that impressed
Tecan's multi-national marketing team. They're now
making better use of our expertise by giving us responsibility
for managing their ad schedule and trade PR activities. We look
forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
The Tecan account will
be led by Director Peter Colley, based in the Company's Manchester office, and Stefan Platz, Account
Manager in Northbank's Munich office, supported by Account
Executive Louise Johnson. The creative team is led by Chris Fisher,
Northbank's senior designer, also based in Manchester.
In addition to PR and
advertising, Northbank is already working on Tecan's regular
customer newsletter, the Tecan Journal, and is about to start
work on the new Tecan product catalogue.
Work to date includes strategic input, copywriting, design and
production.
