New Nature
Reviews Proteomics Collection and Web Focus Launched, Supported
by Sponsorship From Sigma-Aldrich
Scientists
in proteomics research now have free access to an up-to-date resource
in the form of a new web portal http://www.nature.com/reviews/focus/proteomics,
launched this month by Nature Publishing Group and sponsored by
Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (NASDAQ: SIAL). The web portal is accompanied
by a dedicated publication - Nature Reviews Proteomics Collection.
The web site
and publication contain a selection of recently published Reviews,
Perspectives and Highlights on proteomics as well as editorial news
and views on recent developments, aimed at presenting a comprehensive
overview of recent trend-setting publications covering different
aspects of proteomic research, to help researchers keep on top of
this rapidly moving field.
“Free
access, until the end of February 2005, of this unique collection
of articles discussing technical issues as well as applications
of proteomics has been made possible thanks to the support of Sigma-Aldrich”,
said Claire Hines, Business Development Manager of Nature Publishing
Group.
Commented Dr
Klaus Herick, European Sales Development Manager, Sigma-Aldrich,
“We were very pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor this
Nature Reviews Proteomics Collection and web focus. As a global
leader in Life Science and High Technology, Sigma-Aldrich’s
sponsorship underlines its strengths in and commitment to the Proteomics
sector of the Life Science industry and clearly shows our commitment
in this young, but rapidly growing scientific discipline.”
Sigma-Aldrich
is accelerating proteomics research by offering integrated solutions
and novel technologies that enable researchers to isolate, detect,
