Northbank Picked to Make the Difference to BTG’s Communications

London, Manchester, Munich – 17 August 2007 Northbank Communications, the full service PR and marketing consultancy focused on science-based companies, has been chosen by BTG (www.btgplc.com) for a corporate and commercial media relations programme to raise the Company’s profile and communicate its position as a growing life sciences company.

Sue Charles, CEO, will lead the account, supported by Tony Stephenson, Senior Account Manager and Raji Nandipati, Senior Account Executive.

Commenting on the win, Sue Charles said: "Over recent years BTG has undergone a programme of strategic change. It now has a clear strategy as an emerging speciality pharma company, with strong financial resources and a developing pipeline. BTG in-licenses, develops and commercialises pharmaceuticals, principally in the areas of neuroscience and oncology. The Company has a substantial and growing revenue stream of royalties from out-licensed products, a broad, expanding internal pipeline of development programmes as well as a pipeline of out-licensed programmes. The Company is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: BGC) and employs around 70 people in London, Philadelphia and Osaka.
