Northbank
named as PR agency for IntegraGen
Northbank Communications
is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as PR and communications
consultants to IntegraGen, a personalised medicines company, based
in France. Northbank will provide communications support for a range
of activities, encompassing media outreach and investor relations.
IntegraGen is based in the Evry Genopole, a scientific
hub focused solely on genetic research and the development of biotechnology
companies. Using its unique genome analysis technology, GenomeHIP®,
the company identifies genes associated with complex and high profile
diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and specific neurological
diseases like autism and bipolar disorder. GenomeHIP represents
the next generation in gene discovery technology, overcoming many
of the disadvantages of the slower more traditional approaches.
The validated gene targets discovered will be used in the development
of novel molecular diagnostics in-house and new drugs in partnership
with other companies.
Northbank has already worked with IntegraGen to
develop a package of materials for inclusion in the publication
Business Briefings, including a corporate advertisement and a technical
review article, and has announced IntegraGen’s new collaborative
deal with Aventis to use its GenomeHIP technology to identify genes
associated with schizophrenia.
Sue Charles, CEO of Northbank, said “We are
very please to be working with IntegraGen. As the company is based
in Paris it will facilitate our expansion into the French market.”
The account
will be led by Sue
Charles, with account management provided by Dr
Rebecca Todd.
