Northbank's London Office Expands Team - Fiona Brown and Ellen Marriage Appointed

Northbank Communications announces two new staff additions to the London PR team: Fiona Brown joins as an Account Director and Ellen Marriage as Account Executive. Fiona joins with over 20 years experience in life science and healthcare PR whilst Ellen joins from Cambridge University where she graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences.

Fiona Brown boosts the Northbank team at the senior level. A London University graduate, Fiona joins from Pettifor Morrow and previously GCI Financial. Fiona has a wealth of consultancy experience with high profile companies such as ICI Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca), Rothschild's largest biotech investment fund, now managed by 3i, Shire Pharmaceuticals and US biotechs, Orquest Inc, Creative BioMolecules (CURIS, Inc) and IGEN International, Inc. She publicised the first European Conference on Bone Morphogenetic Proteins and for several years handled PR and event management for the London, Investing in Biotechnology Conference, latterly sponsored by International Biotechnology Trust (Schroders) and JP Morgan Chase. Fiona has attracted a number of new accounts to Northbank including IGEN International.

Ellen's role will be to provide comprehensive support services to the London account handling team, and is specifically involved with Fiona on the atugen, ApaTech, IGEN and BioCapital Conference accounts. She gained previous experience in PR through an internship with the life sciences agency Burns McClellan. Ellen brings with her a good understanding of the life sciences and strong ambitions to succeed in PR.

These appointments reflect Northbank's expansion and its growth plans to be a key PR resource for emerging and established life science, instrument and medical device companies.

They bring the Northbank team to 18, including in London, Sue Charles, Northbank's CEO, Katja Stout, Associate Director, and Caroline Stupnicka, Account Manager. Northbank also employs 11 staff at its Manchester offices and two PR staff in Munich.

Northbank Communications was formed in 2002, through the merger of Charles Consultants into STMP Marketing Solutions Ltd. A fully integrated PR and communications firm, the consultancy operates from offices in London and Congleton, near Manchester in the UK and Munich, Germany.

The consultancy focuses on serving science-based companies and organisations, with a strong focus in the life science industry. Northbank helps early stage companies establish a corporate presence through PR, corporate profile development, website design and marketing materials as well as value adding services including business plan writing and investor presentations. For more mature companies the consultancy can offer a range of dedicated services or integrated campaigns, focused on either marketing or financial audiences.
