KuDOS
Pharmaceuticals showcases new interactive
CD-ROM at ASCO
Designed
and produced by Northbank Communications
Northbank Communications
was commissioned by KuDOS Pharmaceuticals to design and produce
a dynamic CD-ROM to provide a multi-media journey into DNA repair
and tumour hypoxia, the Company's key research areas for new
cancer therapeutics. The CD has been designed as an educational
tool to increase awareness of these key research areas, and includes
an introduction by Stephen P Jackson, Professor of Biology at the
University of Cambridge, UK and CSO of KuDOS.
KuDOS showcased
the ‘New Targets for Cancer Therapy' interactive CD
at ASCO, the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Annual
Meeting in Chicago in May.
The CD features
a user-friendly interface to introduce the audience to DNA repair
and tumour hypoxia, and integrates technical animations, video footage
and voice over commentary to communicate the science as simply as
possible. For those wishing to explore more in-depth information,
extra features include a searchable bibliography of DNA repair and
tumour hypoxia papers, KuDOS research and development factsheets,
and a DNA repair slideshow.
"Northbank
really helped to make ASCO a success for us and the CD-ROM went
down really well", said Cheryl Bishop, KuDOS Business Development
and Marketing Executive. "It's very gratifying to get
positive feedback on the CD, having worked closely with Northbank's
team and having seen the project progress from the storyboard through
to a highly effective communication tool."
Further to this
project, KuDOS engaged Northbank to design and co-ordinate its inaugural
ASCO presence, including lead product datasheets, folder and a striking
exhibition stand. In particular, the exhibition stand was designed
to reinforce the refreshed KuDOS identity, providing a focal point
to KuDOS' exhibition space and featuring a display area for
a high quality projected version of the CD presentation.
Peter Colley,
Northbank Director, commented, "ASCO has both a big exhibition
hall and a large flow of delegates, so it was important that we
provided KuDOS with both an opportunity to stand out from the crowd
and the communication materials to support their business development
activities." Adding, "We're particularly proud
of the CD-ROM, and the response KuDOS received at ASCO, and look
forward to making next year's event even more of a success
for KuDOS."
