Northbank Communications Strengthens Media Team with Promotion

London, Manchester, Munich – 30th July 2007 - Northbank Communications, the leader in life science PR and communications, has announced promotion of Tony Stephenson, from Account Manager to Senior Account Manager. Tony is based in Northbank's London office.

As Senior Account Manager, Tony works across a host of clients, devising and executing their media relations strategies with a focus on the national press. A specialist at media relations to the populist and specialist media, his skill set is applicable to financial media relations for publicly-listed companies, corporate profile-building for private companies and creating angles on complex science for the wider public and medical community.

Having joined Northbank in September 2006, Tony has provided media relations support for a number of clients including Cambridge Antibody Technology, Lab21 and InferMed, as well as specific projects such as the Amsterdam Molecular Therapeutics IPO, and a media relations campaign around a new flu vaccine being developed by PepTcell. A key component of Tony's activities is an understanding of individual journalists, what they are seeking as stories, the timescales on which they operate and the deadlines to which they adhere.

Prior to joining Northbank, Tony has worked with various science and research institutions (e.g. Imperial College London), plus associations and corporations, converting newsflow and messaging into UK national and global media coverage.

Commenting on Tony's promotion, Sue Charles, CEO of Northbank, said:

"Since joining Northbank, Tony has increased our relationships with the media and achieved excellent value-adding coverage as well as building strong client relations. Northbank is committed to encouraging personal and career development, and rewarding the outstanding achievements of our staff."
